All right, the new year is officially upon us and I have decided that a celebratory tea party is in order. My sister, Laura, and I are both planning a little tea party in the next month or so just to have fun, cook something nice, and put on pretty clothes. I am in the mood to put my energy towards something inexpensive, yet fun. So, let me know if anyone has dates that are good for them or bad for them.
I worked at Williams-Sonoma today and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Honestly, I feel so good about myself after I get off of work. When I worked at DeVry I never enjoyed the days. It seemed like I came home grouchy and exhausted on most days. When I was at work I felt out of place, staring at the clock and wishing that I could be anywhere but there. So, it is refreshing to be at a job that I enjoy and feel like I am good at. So, perhaps if I can figure out a better babysitting situation I can start working more hours there.
I have officially started looking for apartments this week. No luck thus far, although I am hopeful that the right place is out there for Gloria and me. I just want a two bedroom in a safe area. I would appreciate prayers that God will lead me to a good place, somewhere that I can feel comfortable and start my journey as a "single" mom. I feel so terrified of being without Kevin. A part of me feels like it will be a wrenching seperation from Kevin again to be in an apartment with all of our things, the things we built together, and not have Kevin with me. At the same time, I know that I am ready to confront that sadness. I figure if I have lived this long, somehow I can make it through to live a little longer. Oh, what a bleak future I feel I have at times.
Ok, time for bed. I am tired and starting to get emotional. Hopefully I will be writing something more interesting in the coming days.

I will certainly be keeping you in my prayers for an awesome apartment. I will also ask around and see if I can find any tidbits on apartments in your area. :o) I will send you tea dates as soon as I confirm the baby shower that I am throwing for a friend at church. I probably should have just called you seeing how long this comment is. Haha.. I LOVE YOU!
Oh, our eyebrows looked so good back then! What happened? I don't even know where to start with them anymore.
Also, if you noticed, that first picture was taken at 1:30am. I don't know if I like that feature on cameras.
So when is this tea party going to take place? In February? It's a dress-up event?
Yes, we need to get our eyebrows done again. Do you read the other comments on this blog? I finally figured out how to turn that option off on my camera. You're right, no one needs to remember that the picture was taken at 1:30 am. Though, we look pretty good for it being so late at night.
