When I Get To Feeling Again

I Iwas having a fairly stressful evening when the wise words of Michael Scott on the show “The Office” brought a smile to my face. I am sharing it now in hopes that your day will be brightened as well. “Would I rather be feared or loved? Simple answer: both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.” These are wonderful words from an incredibly sensitive man. I have just been in a sentimental mood today. I watched half of a dumb Lifetime movie about a woman who got pregnant when she was 15 and her mother made her hide with nuns until she gave birth and they found someone to adopt the baby. Long story short the woman spent her life angry that she gave her baby up and wanting to find her long lost child. The point of my recollection is to say that I looked down at my little girl and felt so blessed. I felt so proud to have her, to know that Kevin and I both wanted her and planned for her, and that now she is here and I get to snuggle her and love her. As horribly lonely as I can feel, there is such pure warmth and joy when Gloria is snuggled against me or smiling up into my eyes. Kevin is definitely missing out on this wonderful part of life.
