In the silence of a midnight prayer
As I lay awake in loneliness and fear
I hear your sweet voice saying my name
And reassuring my heart that you'll take my pain.
Throughout these long and weary days
I begin losing hope and my faith starts to fray
But when I am alone in that desperate place
You humble my spirit and lift up my face
And into my weak body Your energy flows,
