This weekend marked a big change in my new home. Friday my friend, Mike, came out from the city and helped me all day long. He primed a room, painted a ceiling, helped me carry cases of flooring into the house and even cleaned my refridgerator (an entire case of diet Pepsi exploded in it a while back). Then, Saturday, Sunday and Monday J.R. and Juan finished the painting. They have done a phenomenal job with every room, caulking and painting doors and trim, fixing little flaws and making it look brand new. I am so excited! This means that I can move onto Phase II this weekend: putting in the flooring! Oh, living there is starting to feel like less of a dream and more of a not-so-distant reality.
