I was flipping through channels today when I came across the movie Waterworld. Although it has gotten a bad rap, I have a special place for that movie and The Postman because Kevin loved both movies. Anyway, it dawned on me that Kevin Costner truly prefers movies in which people are generally dirty (in the physical, hygenical, not showering way). In Robin Hood they were medieval dirty people, in Waterworld and The Postman they were post-apocalyptic dirty people, in Dances with Wolves they were living on the open land dirty people and in Open Range they were dirty cowboys. Granted, he has been in "cleaner" movies, however his preference seems to be movies in which he doesn't have to shower, shave or wear clean clothes. Just a thought I am sharing for no particular reason.
