Today I ran 3.1 miles (5K) in forty minutes, my best time yet! Of course, it was on the treadmill, not outside, so it may not reflect how I will ultimately do, but I AM SO PROUD! I sometimes think I have the shortest legs in the world, as well as my asthma, so I feel semi-defeated about running competitively. However, when I first started training for the 5K I am going to run in November it took me sixty minutes to run around 3.1 miles, so this is big improvement. Now, the other people in the race are Michelle V.A. and my sister, Laura, who are both tall and leggy. If I can even keep up with the two of them I will be happy. I am honestly not worried about beating anyone, I just want to feel good about my own progress. The picture is of me running like the wind! Just kidding, the picture is from earlier this summer when I drove a speedboat for the first time!
