It is about 2:30 AM and I am awake with bad dreams and an achey body. I figure I might as well use this time to be semi-productive so I start working on writing notes to a few friends and straightening my room (very quietly to not wake Gloria) when I realize I am out of my mind. It is 2:30 AM! This is not the time to sit and write pleasantries and try to figure out how to fit that one last tank top into an overstuffed drawer. So, instead I have decided to rant on my new blog about the predicament I am in. I have never been a good sleeper, however there are good and bad wake ups in the middle of the night. Last night it was waking up to a crying baby and my own disconcerting dreams; tonight it is waking to bad dreams and an achey body, which is nonetheless very quiet. I prefer the latter. Honestly, there is a lot more I can "suffer" in quietness than in noise. It is just one of the many reasons I have sworn off music concerts unless they meet a strict criteria:
1. I can sit down.
2. I can drink water or something during the concert.
3. Clean bathrooms are available.
4. I can turn in a full circle without having someone's elbow or breast in my face.
5. The teeny-bopping/potsmoking/whining 14-40 year olds are less than 10% of the population.
These rules apply to any concert I consider attending with the following exceptions:
1. U2 (although I have never seen U2 because I have other emotional hangups about that).
2. Bob Dylan (who I would watch even if I had to be chained in a dungeon or something)
3. Cake (I don't know why I love them, but I do!)
4. Heather Nova
All right, so now everyone knows the ground rules. So, pretty much all of the concerts I have gone to are at Millenium Park, save one that I went to in downtown Naperville with marching bagpipe players. Let me tell you, I am spoiled for life.
Ok. I am going to try and lay down now. I feel better just for writing this nonsense. Sometimes I think my brain won't let me rest with a given amount of frivilousness on my part.

My own list:
1. I loved the cartoon so much I snorted. (I am all alone in the house thankfully)
2. I am very sorry you are up and especially with an achey body. I am glad the blog helped you spend some 2:30 crazy mind time and I could read about it. I love you.
3. If Heather Nova makes it on tour, you have to promise me you will invite me.
