Late night fevers

Last night was a rough one! Lil' G was incredibly fussy, not wanting to eat or play, for the entire evening. We took a nice stroll around the neighborhood in the cool air, which calmed her down significantly. Then, in the middle of the night she woke up and had a fever. She has been so good about it, taking her tylenol and then holding the bottle and smiling at me. It is amazing how my mothering instincts come out when I see her not feeling well. I have always been protective of the people that I love, however there is a new intensity when it comes to Gloria. Perhaps it is the way that she smiles at me, or the way that she snuggles in when we are going to sleep, but I get the importance of our connection. Sometimes when I feel like I don't want to go on I feel like God reminds me how important it is for Gloria to have me. My prayer is that I live up to that responsibility. Now I just have to start working on feeling ok on my own, as a person without a living spouse, and trust that God has a plan for me.
