I was supposed to work today but they were unusually slow so they said I didn't need to come in. It seems like I am always much more productive when I have free time that I thought I would be working during. I went to The Growing Place in Montgomery to get some greens, etc. so my mother-in-law can make a swag for the headstone. You'd be surprised at how many beautiful things are available at a gardening place in December. There are Christmas trees, greens, yard ornaments, wreaths and other little things. Then, we went to TJ Maxx and I got some snow boots. I am really looking forward to getting out in the snow this year to make a snowman and maybe pull Gloria around on a little sleigh. It has been so beautiful out with all of the snow. Usually we don't get any snow until late December or early January.I finally have my Christmas cards so I will begin personalizing them and sending them out shortly. I like to send Christmas cards, since it seems like a nice old-fashioned way of showing you care. There is nothing quite like getting mail that isn't a bill or an advertisement.

You know, I only come to your blog for the Martha Stewart link. I just can't be bothered to type it in every time, and LORD knows I cannot have it in my favorites....God forbid someone should see it.
Just kidding of course, I come for the cynical humor and stay for the occasional depressional rant caused by the death of a loved one. And of course "headstone talk." I still haven't seen it and I guess it's not funny but it's true...it's really not going anywhere.
I'm coming out Tues and Thurs. probably.
PS. Do you know where I could get some snowboots that don't look like something Bjork would wear?
Hang in there tomorrow, I wish I could come out.
