In the Summertime

I made a mix CD for my friend Jenny, which included the song "In the Summertime" by Bob Dylan. The song really spoke to her and now it has me thinking as well. It is one of my all time favorites and includes lyrics based on the verse that is on my headstone. In my heart it is all about a fleeting romance that never was. It is about two people who fell in love but only had a short time together - however, that short time proved to be a lifetime's worth of love. My favorite line is in italics. Here are the lyrics:

Anyway, I absolutely love Bob Dylan and thought I would share a few thoughts on him today. I have been working a lot of hours at Williams-Sonoma and really love it. I like to be busy and I love helping people pick out nice gifts. Also, I work with a lot of spunky gals. In exciting news as well I have become an Avon representative. Everyone seems to be surprised and not quite sure what to say, but I am really pumped. My sister and I have talked about doing a business from home for some time, so it makes sense I would get started with something like Avon. I like Avon because they support women's issues, they sell more than just make up, and the woman who is above me really clicked with me. So, I will add my Avon website to my favorites and hopefully I will be able to get this off of the ground. I really want to find a way to supplement my income and start moving forward into independence again!
